Privacy policy
DFW Liquidators LLC (“KIV Industrial Parts”, “we”) collects only what we need to sell and ship your order and answer your questions. We never sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Orders: your name, company, email, phone, shipping and billing address, PO number, the items you buy and any notes you add.
- Payments: handled by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number.
- Quotes, contact and surplus forms: what you type and any photos or files you upload.
- Tax-exemption certificates: kept for 4 years, as Texas law requires.
- KIV Parts Assistant chat: your messages and any photo you send. Transcripts are deleted after 30 days.
- Technical data: our servers keep short logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and to fix problems.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: one that remembers your cart and one that keeps a chat conversation together. If you sign in to your account, two more: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in (secure and HttpOnly, for 30 days or until you sign out) and a small display cookie that only makes the page show "My account" instead of "Sign in" and holds nothing about you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) don't use cookies.
Your account (optional)
You can sign in to see the orders and quote requests you have already made with your email address: order history, invoices, tracking, reordering and saved quotes. There are no passwords. You enter your email address and we email you a one-time sign-in link that works once, for 15 minutes. After you sign in, a secure sign-in cookie (HttpOnly; we store only a keyed hash of it, never the cookie itself) keeps you signed in on that browser for 30 days or until you sign out; signing out ends the session. A second small cookie, which holds nothing secret, only tells the page to show "My account" instead of "Sign in". An account collects no new personal information beyond what is already on your orders and quote requests. To have your sign-in records deleted, email sales@kivparts.com.
Who processes data for us
- Our payment processor – takes card payments.
- Resend – sends order and shipping emails.
- Cloudflare – delivers the website securely, blocks attacks and counts visits without cookies.
- Anthropic – provides the AI model behind the KIV Parts Assistant chat. Chat messages are sent to it only to produce replies.
- Shipping carriers (for example UPS) – receive your name, address and phone to deliver your order.
Each of them may use the data only to provide their service to us.
How we use it
To process and ship orders, send order and shipping emails, answer quotes and questions, handle returns, keep tax records, and prevent fraud. We don't send marketing emails.
Where it is kept
Order data is stored on our own computer at our warehouse in Princeton, TX, with encrypted backups. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@kivparts.com. We keep what the law requires us to keep (for example tax records). The site is not meant for children under 13.
