Item conditions
Every item on this site is shown in one of five conditions. Every item is photographed – the photos show the exact unit you receive – and any notes about a unit are on its page.
- New
- Brand-new and unused, in the manufacturer's original packaging. On eBay: New.
- New – Open Box
- New and unused, but the packaging is opened, missing or not the original. A unit with a cosmetic defect (eBay's “New with defects”) is marked “cosmetic defect” – see the notes for that unit. On eBay: New – Open box, New other (see details), New without tags, New with defects.
- Refurbished
- Refurbished or remanufactured before resale, by a seller, a repair shop or the manufacturer. See the notes for this unit for what was done. On eBay: Seller refurbished, Remanufactured, Certified refurbished.
- Used
- Previously installed or used, with signs of normal wear. The photos show this exact unit. A listing without a stated condition is shown as Used. On eBay: Used, Pre-owned.
- For Parts / Repair
- Does not work as intended, is untested, or is missing parts. Sold as-is for parts or repair, with no warranty. As-is: not covered by our 30-day guarantee. On eBay: For parts or not working.
- New Surplus
- New, unused surplus stock bought from a source other than the manufacturer or its authorized distributors. No manufacturer warranty; firmware and series revision are not guaranteed. Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation items only; opened, missing or non-original packaging is shown as New Surplus – Open Box.
Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation items
We never list Allen-Bradley or Rockwell Automation items as “New”. Unused items of these brands are listed as New Surplus (or New Surplus – Open Box). They are sold as surplus: KIV Industrial Parts is not an authorized Rockwell Automation distributor, no Rockwell Automation warranty or support applies, and the firmware version and series revision are not guaranteed unless the listing says so.
Manufacturer warranty
No item on this site carries the manufacturer's warranty, whatever its condition. Our return policy covers every item; For Parts / Repair items are sold as-is and are not covered by our 30-day guarantee.
